Curriculum doyen Professor Graham Donaldson is the keynote speaker at Thursday’s Aiming for Excellence Conference.

Organised by Yr Athrofa to celebrate the excellent practice going on in Welsh schools, Aiming for Excellence features presentations from lecturers, school staff and a host of talented student-teachers.

One of the leading figures in Welsh education, Professor Donaldson authored the Welsh Government’s ‘Successful Futures’ report on Wales’ new national curriculum.

The sixth annual Aiming for Excellence Conference begins at 9.15am (on Thursday, May 3) and is expected to attract an audience of more than 600 people.

The event, showcasing a number of Athrofa Professional Learning Partnership (APLP) schools, takes place at the Selwyn Samuel Centre in Llanelli.
