Education Secretary Kirsty Williams will deliver a keynote address as part of the Athrofa Seminar Series.
Yr Athrofa, the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Institute of Education, in partnership with the Welsh Government, will host Ms Williams at Yr Athrofa in Cardiff’s Tramshed Tech, on Monday, April 23 at 6pm.
Ms Williams will discuss her education agenda and plan for raising schools standards before an audience of educationalists.
The event follows Yr Athrofa’s successful ‘Tales from Toronto’ seminar, which featured contributions from university staff, Welsh Government officials and each of the five headteachers who travelled to Canada last summer.
Professor Dylan Jones, Dean of Yr Athrofa, said: “We are delighted to once again be welcoming the Cabinet Secretary to Yr Athorfa for what promises to be a fascinating event.
“We share in the Cabinet Secretary’s ambition to transform education for the benefit of all learners – and consider it our national mission to harness the strength that exists within Wales’ education system and beyond.”
